SPACES SHAPED THROUGH
ARCHITECTURE, MATERIALITY
AND THE RITUALS
OF EVERYDAY LIFE.
Kim Kneipp Studio is an interior design practice based in Melbourne, working across Australia on architecturally integrated residential, wellness and commercial environments.
Through careful attention to planning, materiality and atmosphere, we create environments that feel calm, connected and deeply personal.
Each project begins with listening. How someone wants to live, the rhythms of their day, the experiences a space can support over time.
If you have an upcoming project and would like to begin a conversation, we'd love to hear from you.
KIM KNEIPP
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Kim's approach to design was shaped long before she entered the profession.
Raised between her father's acupuncture clinic, her mother's commercial pottery and her extended family's cabinet-making businesses in tropical North Queensland, she developed an early understanding of the relationship between environment, materiality and the self.
These influences became the foundation for Design Acupuncture, the studio's approach to understanding the relationship between people, place and everyday life. Through observation, pattern recognition and thoughtful intervention, she creates environments that feel intuitive, connected and deeply personal.
After studying fashion, Kim worked across garment reconstruction, personal styling and wellness environments before establishing her interior design practice.
From 2013 to 2021 she played a key role in the evolution of Peninsula Hot Springs, contributing across design, guest experience and major projects including the Amphitheatre, Glamping accommodation and Eco Lodges. The experience helped shape many of the ideas that would later evolve into Design Acupuncture.
Today her work spans residential, wellness and commercial environments, creating spaces that feel calm, connected and capable of supporting the evolving rhythms of everyday life.
Outside the studio, Kim is an avid bather, cook, gardener and habitual furniture rearranger. Mother to two sporty boys, she speaks French, rusty Italian and is attempting to learn German. Two parts city glamour, one part country kid, her drink of choice is a dirty gin martini. With olives.
Olive is the new black.
Kim Kneipp Studio is a Melbourne-based interior design studio specialising in quietly luxurious residential, commercial and wellness interiors. Our work is guided by a sensory design approach we call Design Acupuncture.
CLAUDIA BLOXSOME
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Claudia brings a beautifully textured sensibility to our team.
An Interior Designer by day and a weaver under the moniker Cloud May Studio at night, Claudia’s dual practice deepens her design approach, enhancing her understanding of colour, craftsmanship, composition and spatial narrative.
Her role in the business is as diverse as her creative interests, spanning from concept design and documentation, through to project management and FF+E procurement.
We’ve been lucky to have Claudia with Kim Kneipp Studio since 2022. Her tactile instincts, attention to detail and material sensitivity elevate our interiors, infusing them with the graceful poetry and quiet impact found in her woven work.
