LITTLE MORE HOUSE

"IF A LITTLE DREAMING IS DANGEROUS,

THE CURE FOR IT IS NOT TO DREAM LESS BUT TO DREAM MORE,

TO DREAM ALL THE TIME"

- MARCEL PROUST, Á LA RECHERCHE DU TEMPS PERDU

A RUSTIC AND REFINED SMALL FOOTPRINT FAMILY HOME, WHERE EVERY DAY FEELS LIKE A HOLIDAY.

The aim of Little More House was to seamlessly blend a resort style luxury with the familiarity and warmth of intimate family living, using a restrained, sustainable material palette in keeping with the native flora of the Shoreham landscape.

Inspired by the clients' holiday experiences in small, relaxed accommodations, they worked with MEGArchitects to develop a bold concept for a small footprint house, able to open up to the elements whilst fostering a closer sense of connection with their young family - providing areas to entertain and bond while also allowing for moments of retreat.

Our studio was engaged to collaborate with the client on the interior design, providing an holistic overview to the selection of colours, materials, finishes and joinery.

The result is an earthy, restrained and humble family home with a focus on raw, indestructible, character-filled materials - a timber-lined cabin, with luxurious attention to finishes and detailing.
