Some of the best design decisions begin with a conversation.

A Design Acupuncture Session is two focused hours with Kim on Zoom, for those at a pivotal point in a project who need an experienced eye on what to do next.

You might be reviewing plans before committing to a renovation, questioning an architect's proposal, trying to resolve a room that isn't working, refining materials or finishes, or simply feeling that something is off but not knowing where the problem lies.

Share your plans, photographs and a brief beforehand. We come prepared, so the session can be spent looking closely at the decisions that matter, testing possibilities and identifying where a precise shift could have the greatest effect.

You leave with clearer direction, practical recommendations and a sense of which decisions to make now, which can wait and where to focus your energy next.

DESIGN ACUPUNCTURE SESSION – IN PERSON

Sometimes the space itself needs to be read.

Kim comes to you, reading the light, moving through the rooms and observing how the space is actually used. Together we locate the pressure points: the places where function, flow, proportion, material or atmosphere aren't quite resolved and where a considered intervention could make the greatest difference.

This might mean rethinking a layout, testing new joinery, working through colour and material decisions, reconsidering furniture placement or identifying what doesn't need to change.

Where useful, Kim is joined by another member of the studio, allowing us to observe, document and work through the space together.

Share your plans, photographs and a brief beforehand. We come prepared. The session runs for up to three hours in your home or project space.

Session Notes follow, capturing the key ideas, recommendations, selections and decisions made during our time together.

If further development is useful, detailed colour, finishes or FF&E schedules, documentation or liaison with trades, suppliers and consultants can be scoped separately.
